Adventure Review
We took the family to Colorado last July and the first camping area that we stayed was in Colorado. It was the Four Seasons RV Resort in Salida, Colorado. We booked this resort from searching online for a RV park on our route to Durango, Co. Hre are the good and bad from out stay there.
The Bad:
- Four Seasons was home to many retired folks for the summer. We traveled with our six kids and felt a little bit out of place.
- I found the park to be clean, but the restrooms were a bit outdated and not what most people would call nice.
- The river front slot that we had reserved was given to another person prior to our arrival.
- Big rigs have to be careful navigating through to their slot. There is a big hill that drops down from the office and a left turn cannot be completed, you have to go to the right and go around the other half of the park.
- Riverfront slots are not good for small children when the river is in high stages in the spring and summer.
- No playground for kids.
The Good:
- The view of the Arkansas River is beautiful for people on the riverfront slots.
- The rates are good
- Service was friendly
I would not stay at this campground again with small kids.
