We camped at Turkey Run State Park 2 weekends ago, absolutely awesome! We weren’t far from the trail head that leads from the campground to the main lodge. The campsites are really nice, and all have electric. It poured down rain the second day we were there, but our tents stayed dry so we went hiking!! The great thing about Turkey Run is that their trails are so well maintained and are very beautiful. So staying at the campgrounds, you can literally hike from your campsite! The bathrooms are ok, the showers had 4 stalls, but only 2 had curtains for privacy. They did have a wheelchair accessible shower that looked like it had a lot of room. Good firepits and a picnic table at every campsite. Most of the campsites have some kind of shade, which is nice on the hot summer days! They have 2 sites that can accommodate large groups that are close to the campstore and have primitive bathrooms close. We enjoy camping here a lot and I would highly recommend them.

We are going next week to Turkey Run for an overnight camping trip. This will be our first camping trip with our two daughters. Claudia who is 4 and Claire who is 21 months. We are looking forward to it even if it is for one night.

That’s awesome!! There are plenty of trails for you to take your young children on so enjoy the adventure and tell us about it when you get back!!! It would be great to have a review from another source, especially one with younger kids!! ]
