Adventure Review
We went here on Valentines weekend this year, and loved it! We started our journey at Yamacraw Bridge and took the Sheltowee Trace to make a loop back to the bridge. It is about a 15 mile loop that we turned into a 3 day 2 night trip. The journey was to Yahoo Falls… It’s a very beautiful place, and this time of year makes it an even better time to go, when we finally reached the falls, it took my breath away. The falls are Kentuckys tallest waterfall, and at this time of year the base of the waterfall has frozen to make a mount of ice about 15 foot tall! That was worth the hike! But if you are not into backpacking you can make this journey by driving to Yahoo Falls and hiking in about .25 miles. It was a wonderful place so we have to decieded to take our boys this spring for their birthday! I would highly suggest this trip for anyone, and if you do decide to make this into a backpacking trip there are plenty of nice places to stop and make camp along the way and every thing on the journey is just breath taking! It was a wonderful Valentines weekend!!
