Adventure Review
My dad and I fished Ranger Lakes in north central Colorado in September of 2008. We had fished for trout in the nearby Michigan Reservoir, but had never tried Ranger Lakes. We took our fly rods and dry flies to give it a shot. The setting of the lakes is beautiful. The mountains are in the background and eagles, moose and elk frequent the area. From several places you can view the Noku Crags which are beautiful in the fall. The fishing at the lakes is good. We are beginner fly fisherman so we catch a few and have fun with it. I would recommend these lakes to recreational fisherman who want to catch a few trout on the weekend or while camping in the area. I would not call it Trout heaven, but it is a fun and beautiful place to fish. These lakes are close to Gould, Colorado.
