Adventure Review
We traveled with a group of 12 people and took a day trip to Bequia Island. This island is one of the many islands that are part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This beach adventure took place in July of 2011. The age range of our group was 15-40. We were told that the beach at Bequia was a must do to add to our list of things to do while in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. To get to Bequia you have to take a ferry from Kingstown in St. Vincent. There are 2 ferry types. One is a large slower vessel and the other is a faster boat with air conditioning. We took the slower vessel and it cost us $15 US dollars per person. I have to say if you are a beach lover and you like quiet, clean, clear beaches…then you have to visit Bequia. This beach is impressive. Look at the attached pictures and they will only give you a limited taste of how special it is. There are a couple of nice uncrowded beach pubs at Bequia. We had some tasty burgers and cokes at the nearest pub. We visited this beach on a Friday and there were maybe 2 families at the beach with us. Approximately a mile from the beach, the port has several shops for those who want to do some shopping. I would highly recommend visiting this beach, everyone in our party had a great time at this beach.
