Adventure Review

We went to Durango, Colorado last July and were looking for some fun things to do while we were in town with our 6 children.  We decided to go whitewater rafting.  I will tell you that this adventure is the Xperience that gave me the idea for this website.  We had never been to Durango and had never taken all the kids on a whitewater rafting trip.  We were looking for a mild trip that would accommodate our children from 4-15 in age.  We were also looking to fit all 8 of us on one raft.  We browsed the internet ads for Durango rafting trips, we looked at all the brochures at the visitors center in town, then we drove to 3 or 4 places in town to get the best rate and Xperience for the family.  We finally decided on Durango Rafting Company.  We did not know what to Xpect?  We paid them at the office and hoped for the best.  Here is my bullet list of the Xperience:

• Price was at or below competitors in town
• Raft was big enough for all 8 of us
• Rapids were class 1 &2 with one small class 3 very tame for our family
• Guide was entertaining and accommodating
• This rafting trip is on the Lower Animas River and runs through the heart of  Durango.
• At one point where the water was calm and deep, we were allowed to jump overboard and get cooled off.
• We loved this Xperience and would do it again in a heartbeat.  When we were done they were all looking forward to a similar trip with bigger rapids.

If you are in Durnago and looking for a whitewater rafting company, DRC is a good bet.
