Adventure Review
We rented a HUGE houseboat on Dale Hollow Lake for a week several summers ago. There were 10 of us on the boat, and we had TONS of room. We rented the largest boat they had!! There were 2 sets of queen bunk beds as well as a Twin bed in the back. The 2 couches also made into beds as well. The entire top of the boat was accessible so we usually ate up there. A few nights we slept up there as well! It was stocked with basic amenities…pots, dishes, cups, etc. However I would recommend taking along your own plastic/paper products…that is much easier.
The lake itself is awesome. First thing in the morning, it’s like skiing on glass. It’s beautiful scenery all around with tons of coves to explore. The lake is ginormous, so I would recommend a map. We had a speedboat as well as a JetSki and both were loads of fun. The lake never seemed packed beause it is so huge. There are several marinas for docking to get groceries, gas, supplies but they are expensive so I would try to get it all before you go in.
We had a few boats pass by and launch waterballoons at us! Was fun but we didn’t have any ammo to shoot back with!! Ha ha!
It’s a great vacation and the scenery is beautiful. I would highly recommend it!
