Adventure Review

We rented a pontoon boat to cruise Lake Vallecito in southwest Colorado last July. We rented from a small marina on the lake. The weather was great. Sunny, warm and a slight breeze. The lake is large with lots of good fishing from the pictures posted at the marina. This lake was a much cooler temperature than we are used to in Indiana in the summer, but we did not let that stop us from swimming and touring the lake. Some of the surrounding mountains have been affected by a forest fire in the recent past and took away some of the natural beauty. Overall, we loved the view and the lake. It was a great adventure. I would love to have had more time to ski, fish, and jet-ski on this lake. I would recommend this lake to anyone visiting the Durango, Colorado area.
