Adventure Review
This is a beach review of Stubbs Beach on St. Vincent Island. Stubbs Beach is a true local village black sand beach. To find this beach we had to ask directions from a couple of people from the village. Everyone we asked was friendly and helpful in steering us to the beach. We visited this beach in July while on a mission trip. The beach is right next to the future home of the St. Vincent International Airport. This beach is a great place to go for:
- Beach walk
- Taking photos/video
- Fishing
- Wading in the water
Stubbs beach is a peaceful and quiet beach on weekends and after normal business hours. During business hours, the serenity of the beach is sometimes disturbed by noise from the construction at the new airport. Overall, we enjoyed our 2 visits to Stubbs Beach. It was fun to just spend some time watching and listening to the waves, walking the beach and taking pictures. From Stubbs you can see some of the neighboring islands in the distance.
WARNING: We we warned by several locals about the dangers of swimming at Stubbs Beach due to consistent rip tides and dangerous rocks below the water surface.
