Adventure Review
This is a beach review of Walliabou Beach on St. Vincent Island. This beach is famous for the Cannibal Island scenes from two of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Parts of the original set used in the movies are still there for visitors to tour.
Walliabou beach is a very beautiful black sand beach that is nestled into a cove on the east side of St. Vincent Island. During our visit in July the water was crystal clear blue. The attached video attempts to try to highlight features of the water, however I highly recommend visiting this beach in person and seeing it for yourself. There is a beach side restaurant that is uncrowded and has great views of the beach. Things that I think make this one of my favorite beaches are:
- Crystal clear water
- Black sand
- Nestled in a cove
- Quiet & serene
- Uncrowded
- Clean
- Nice dock to walk out on or fish from
- Novelty of the movie set
- Snorkeling would be great here
