Adventure Review
Amber & I hiked Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles. There have been many movies filmed in here ranging from a James Dean Movie (Rebel Without A Cause) and more recently Jim Carrey’s movie (Yes Man) & Transformers.
One of the great things I love about hiking in LA is that there are so many hiking trials in the area. You’ll be hearing about many more of my experiences hiking these trails. You can drive up to Griffith park then can spend hours hiking the numerous trails in the area. Make sure you keep an eye out for snakes, they are seldomly encountered but you never want to go hiking in California (or anywhere) in the southwest without being at least aware of rattlesnake encounters.
I recommend getting a trail map, bring your camera, hiking boots and lots of water. If the sun is out, which it usually is you will burn up in the sun without lots of water. These are very much beginner level hiking trails and are family friendly trails. You’ll encounter lots of tourists and locals alike and will be in a perfect spot for getting a picture of the HOLLYWOOD sign. Happy trails!
