Adventure Review
We took a trip last to Turkey Run State Park for my birthday. This trip was March of 2009. We looked at the trail map and decided to hike on trail #3 which is rated on their system as rugged.
The weather was cool but sunny. The trail conditions in March are usually a little slick as it is that time of year when we slowly begin to thaw out in Indiana.
This trail consists of many stair cases and a couple of sections of ladders to climb. You will need some kind of hiking boot or waterproof shoe as this trail takes you right up the middle of a shallow creek. In my opinion this is one of the most fun hiking trails in the state of Indiana. It is a little technical but easy enough that most general public can complete the trail.
Attached is a video of another hike we did on this trial.
