Adventure Review
The MT. hunt was a lot of fun and hard work combined. We received permission from a friend to use their rustic cabin for shelter and the cabiner owner obtained permission from a neighbor for us to hunt the adjacent ranchers land.
This area is a vast expanse of pastures, wooded creek bottoms and adjoining BLM forests. Many elk, mules and whitetail deer were seen in the area but no one was able to get a shot. We did not expect to see whitetail deer in this part of the country but this area has an abundant supply.
To show our gratitude for the use of the cabin and obtaining permission for us to hunt the ranch we stacked fire wood, repaired fences and hauled log poles fencing. Nothing like combining work and pleasure.
