Adventure Review
Every year I go Elk hunting in Colorado. This particular year was slow on the Elk side, so my friend and I took our quads and rode the logging roads through the mountains. We started at our campground, the North Park KOA , which sits at the entrance to Colorado State Forrest. These roads take you to several logging roads, ,and you can drive for miles. We found several camp sites that were very primitive. There’s also saw lots of wildlife. Mainly mule deer, but it’s still very exciting to see them upclose. We went to Ruby Jewel Lake, Montgomery Pass, and across Diamond Peaks. It’s a great ride, the roads aren’t marked, so I would suggest taking a map if your not familiar with the area. The roads themselves are easy to ride on with a quad. I wouldn’t recommend taking a nice truck up there as they are very rugged.
